Atlanta will always have a special place in my heart. It's the city where I had my first big-girl job (i.e. with a salary and benefits), where I spent the first few years of my marriage, where we adopting our dog-child, and where we deepened old friendships and developed new ones. Georgia is where our families and many of our best friends live.
Atlanta is where I learned more about myself as a person and where I discovered my capabilities and my passions. Even though there were parts I didn't like, I still felt connected to the community and the culture there.
Atlanta was home, but then it was time to move on to something else. It felt right to leave. I'm glad I left, but I'm always grateful for my experience there and of course opportunities to come back and visit (like this past weekend)!
