I closed all the curtains, lit some candles and incense, put on The Beatles, and did a delicious free flow. By free flow I mean I just my body go. No series or sequencing, just rolling and dipping and folding and flowing. It was so liberating. I got completely lost in my body and the music.
And then I lay on my mat, hair down, limbs splayed out, letting the music absorb me. My body felt light and open, and the darkness and incense hugged me close. I thought about how amazing it felt to be in my body, in this moment. How moving the music was and how sensual the candles and incense were. How the squishy mat and wood floor were holding me up.
If we are spiritual beings on a human experience, this is quite a human experience to be having. And I am going absorb every minute of it, pain and crappiness and all. Because there’s still so much wonder and light, around us and in us. We get to experience it all.
