Mornings are such a gentle time. There is nothing better than a morning where you wake up feeling good - refreshed, excited about the day, hungry for food, reflective (anyone who drinks knows what I mean). One of the first things I do is open the curtains to let some morning light in (I close them at night because of potential peeping toms - do you see how close that building is to mine?). I sadly can't look at anything but brick walls and fire escapes (hello, New York) but the light's enough for now.
I also drink some sort of liquid to flush out before food and coffee. Sometimes it's warm water with lemon and honey, but lately I've been digging room temp water with a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar. The taste bothers some people (it grosses out my husband) but I really like fermented foods and drinks (kombucha, beer) so I actually enjoy it. I've heard mixed reviews on ACV too, so I'm curious to know where it stands.
Oh, also legs up the wall - or up the windowsill, whatever - is super great!
